WhatsApp Web users will now be able to make video and voice calls from the desktop.
WhatsApp is going to roll out this new feature soon. This instant messaging app has some features that were only available for mobile apps until now.
WhatsApp is going to bring features for web and desktop. WhatsApp is currently testing this new web feature.
Alex Horn of The Guardian made it visual he also posted a screenshot of WhatsApp’s voice and video calling features from the desktop on social media.
That picture shows that there are two buttons one for his voice and the other for video.
Both icons are tagged ‘beta’ from there it is clear that WhatsApp is currently testing the feature.
The same feature of this instant messaging app was also announced by WhatsApp tracker WABetaInfo in October this year.
WABetaInfo also shared a screenshot of this video and the voice calling option of WhatsApp from the desktop.
When users make a call from WhatsApp Web, a small pop-up window will open, showing the user’s name, profile picture, call end button, video/audio switch option, and mute call option.
You can also make a group voice call or single video calls from WhatsApp Web. According to WABetaInfo, the new feature will be available to WhatsApp beta users in a few weeks.
However, WhatsApp has not yet officially announced the launch of this feature.
