WhatsApp is going to bring the Face Unlock option in the Android version to enrich the biometric options for unlocking the app.
Due to this new option, users will be able to open WhatsApp through Face Unlock from now on.
According to WABeta Info recently, this Android feature has been spotted in the Beta Build 2.20.203.3 version of WhatsApp.
However, little is known about the release date of this update.
It is known that if there is a proper sensor in the device, then shortly, the face recognition feature will also come to WhatsApp.
Needless to say, this feature will be device-centric. This means that when users change their smartphone, they will have to set up Face Unlock anew.
In addition to this Face Unlock feature, WhatsApp Beta Build 2.20.203.3 is already trying to make its fingerprint lock more efficient.
According to WABeta Info, WhatsApp has already started working on this specific feature update with the help of the Google Play Beta program.
In this case, once the Face Unlock of WhatsApp is turned on in Android, the fingerprint lock option will be changed to the biometric lock option.
There is a reason behind this biometric lock users can use more than one method for authentication.
WhatsApp also plans to bring a new identification feature if fingerprint or face recognition doesn’t work.
However, according to the current system, if this fingerprint unlocks feature does not work, there is no other way to open WhatsApp.
