The ambitious project of Indian Railways on the Katra-Banihal railway bridge, India’s first cable bridge (Anji Khad Bridge) will be completed by March 2022.

Work on two parts of this bridge has been completed. Work on the final stage will begin very soon.

This is the first railway bridge in the country. This bridge will be 473.25 meters long.

The cable-stayed bridge will enable trains to run directly from Katra to Srinagar.

According to the railway official, the bridge, which hangs between two hills, will be 331 meters above the river. This bridge will be 473.25 meters long.

The bridge will be four times taller than the Qutub Minar in Delhi. Railway engineers will build a network of 96 cables to support this particular suspension bridge.

According to Railways, this bridge is going to be an example of advanced engineering.

Strong winds and terrible storms will not be able to do anything on this bridge.

A high pillar is being built for the bridge, and the cables will be attached to this pillar.

Then the deck will be laid on the bridge and the railway track will be laid.

The construction of the bridge was halted for three months due to the ongoing lockdown in the country.

But this time the work has started again at a fast pace and the work of the bridge will be completed by March 2022.

The construction of the bridge was divided into three parts.

In which the two parts have been divided and the work of the last part of the service has started.
